Things I Believe to Be True

· The one where I tell myself stuff until I believe it--and now you can, too! ·

Top Ten is a monthly feature. The topics change.

I have a lot of things I believe are true. For the purpose of this blog post? We’re going to focus on my writing life.

  1. My success is measured by a yardstick only I can mark.
  2. Saying ‘no’ is more difficult than it seems.
  3. One day I will accomplish all-the-things in my planner. It’s okay if today is not that day.
  4. Things need to happen when they happen–it’s no good pushing myself to write when my body and/or mind isn’t cooperating.
  5. Organization is my crack.
  6. Bullet Journals are life. They allow me to do things MY way–but I still use other more traditional things, too. Because I’m weird like that.
  7. Time spent on organization is not time wasted.
  8. Properly organized playlists are essential. And not a waste of time.
  9. Writing on more than one project is difficult for me.
  10. Binge-watching Stranger Things 2 or The Mist <insert your current binge-watch> are perfectly acceptable ways to spend a weekend, occasionally.

Great list!! And #2 so much yes! I’m getting better about saying No, but it’s still really hard.

Nice spin on this. And binge watching? Really? (I made myself not watch episode 9 of Stranger Things 2 just to save it. I’m dying not knowing.)
